Career Services Center

At Rust College, we believe in preparing students both inside and outside of the classroom. Whether you have already decided on a career or still in exploration phase, our Career Services Center is dedicated to helping students and alumni
achieve their professional goals and succeed in today’s competitive global job market. We offer six services tailored to career success.

  1. Career Counseling: Our professionals are dedicated to helping students find internships and job opportunities that maximize soft and hard skills while providing continuous learning and career experience for the individual.
  2. Resume and Cover Letter Assistance: Crafting an impressive cover letter and resume is the first step to landing a part-time or full-time job or internship. Our Career Services professionals are dedicated to helping students design and create efficient and impressive resumes and cover letters.
  3. Interview Preparation: After landing that interview spot, we understand that interviewing can induce anxiety. The Career Services Center offers tips and advice on professional dress and interview preparation and practice.
  4. Job and Internship Search Support: Our department maintains strong relationships with a wide network of employers both locally and nationally. We regularly post job and internship opportunities in our office (McCoy Administrative Building Suite 207) and across campus.
  5. Career Workshops and Events: The Career Services Center, in conjunction with the Office of External Affairs, hosts professional seminars, social gatherings, and job fairs that connect students and job seekers with industry experts, employers, and local chambers of commerce.
  6. Alumni Support: The Career Services Center believes that the Rust College Bearcat family support system extends beyond graduation. We are always here to help our alumni search for jobs, brush up those resumes, or explore new career pathways.
