Degree Requirements
Major in Social Work
- Thirty-three (33) credit hours in core social work courses.
- Nine (9) semester hours dedicated to Social Work Field Practicum.
- Three (3) semester hours in the Social Work Field Seminar.
Minor in Social Work
Completion of fifteen (15) credit hours in selected social work courses.
Admission to the Program
Students must formally apply for admission to the Social Work Program after completing foundational courses such as Introduction to Social Welfare, Community, Volunteerism, and Human Behavior.
Weekend Program Structure
The Weekend Social Work Program is tailored for individuals who have completed foundational studies in liberal arts and wish to earn a B.S.W. degree in social work. It is particularly suitable for those currently employed in social service agencies, including those who hold associate or bachelor’s degrees in disciplines other than social work. The program also serves professionals seeking to enhance their skills in client service within social agencies.

- Saturday Mornings: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
